We believe in the beauty of connections at Te Kano. Between family and friends, wine and food, grapevines and the soil. Our Estate vineyards are testament to this, with organic practices and an extensive Kōwhai rejuvenation project strengthening the web of ecology and our links with
the land we love.

Vintage & Winemaking Notes
The 2017 grape harvest was short and intense, with a cooler start to Spring and a warm golden Autumn. From our Estate vineyards in Bannockburn, fruit was handpicked and fermented in vineyard parcels. Maturation in French oak barrels took place over the following 10 months before blending and bottling of selected batches.
Kin showcases the cherry and berry fruit which is so characteristic of Central Otago. Generous fruit is wrapped in layers of vanilla and spice, with elegant fine grained tannins rounding out the finish. Made with immediate appeal and early drinking in mind, it will still reward patient cellaring, with additional complexity developing over time.
Delicious on it’s own, Kin will enhance meals with mushrooms, red meats and game birds.
